Mills-Norrie State Park

Margaret Lewis Norrie and the Ogden Mills and Ruth Livingston Mills park sit together in Staatsburg, more than 1,000 acres along the Hudson. Trails, a marina, Dinsmore Golf Course, and Staatsburgh State Historic Site.

Checked Tue, Oct 20, 2026 on parks.ny.gov.

What to do

  • The river trails

The page says the trails through both parks work for walking, jogging, hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, with the river on the western edge. Open year-round, sunrise to sunset.

  • Staatsburgh

The house is inside Mills Memorial State Park. Drop-in tours run Thursday through Sunday, mid-April through October, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Thursday through Sunday, late November through December, noon to 4:00 pm. A regular house tour is $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Children 12 and under are free.

  • The marina

Norrie Point Marina hours on the page run May 1 through October 15. A trailered launch is $7 and a cartop launch is $3. A canoe or kayak launch is $3.

A quieter time

Gazebo Road is closed on weekends and holidays, and in bad weather. The page does not say the trail lots fill. The 2026 camping season it prints ended October 18.

Parking

The page prints camping, golf, marina, and house-tour prices. It does not print a day-use vehicle fee. Check parks.ny.gov.

Dogs

Up to two pets in campsites and day-use areas, crated or on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Not in playgrounds, buildings, golf courses, boardwalks, pools, spray-grounds, or guarded beaches.

Empire Pass

Mills Norrie is on the Empire Pass list. The pass rules say it does not waive golf or historic-site admission, so Dinsmore and the Staatsburgh house tour are separate.
