Hudson Valley wineries: the Shawangunk Wine Trail and beyond

The list is the rooms we could confirm on the winery's own site on October 20, 2026. Smaller rooms lead. A closure or a stale calendar stayed off.

Brotherhood in Washingtonville prints "Since 1839" and calls itself America's oldest winery. That line is theirs. On this pass we did not find a separate page that ranks the Hudson Valley, as a region, among the country's oldest wine regions, so this guide does not say that.

Questions

Is the Fjord tasting room open?
No. Their visit page says the Ridge Road room is closed while they build a new one, expected April 2027. They have not posted the new address. The wines are on sale at other shops.
Which rooms are the smaller ones?
Nostrano, Quartz Rock, Red Maple, and Stoutridge. Robibero, Applewood, Warwick Valley, and Brotherhood are the better-known rooms that still print open hours.
Do I need a reservation?
Nostrano wants one for parties of 6 or more. Quartz Rock recommends one for groups over 12. Stoutridge wants one for groups larger than 8. Red Maple, Applewood walk-ins, and Brotherhood's $25 tour say you can walk in. Read the winery page the week you go.
